Advancement Exam Guidelines

Students in Electrical and Computer Engineering will satisfy the campus experiential learning requirement through completion of the ECE capstone senior design sequence, EE/CpE 4096 and 4097.  As part of these classes, students work in teams to complete a significant, open-ended design project and are asked to make multiple presentations and reports on the process, including a summative reflection piece on their overall experience. Students are not required to submit any additional documentation, beyond completing these classes, to show they have satisfied this requirement.

To complete Senior Assessment, you need the following:

  • Complete the Ethics Assignment (part of 4096)
  • Complete the Online Senior Survey (given at the end of 4096)
  • Submit your Project Proposal and Present your project at the end of 4096
  • Complete 4097 (or CS 4091 for dual CS/CpE majors)
  • Register for graduation.

The ECE department does not use the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam for Senior Assessment.
