You may wish to pursue an accelerated MS degree, dual degree, minor or emphasis area(s).

Accelerated MS Degree

The accelerated MS degree program in electrical and computer engineering allows high-achieving undergraduate students to simultaneously work toward both a bachelor's and master's degree in ECE. Students begin working on their MS thesis as an undergraduate and may apply up to nine credit hours of their ECE coursework (5000-level or above) allowing the student to complete both degrees faster than if pursuing the degrees separately.

Dual Degree

A dual degree in electrical and computer engineering can be received by taking at least 11 credit-hours of additional coursework.

Advancement Exam Guidelines

Students in Electrical and Computer Engineering will satisfy the campus experiential learning requirement through completion of the ECE capstone senior design sequence, EE/CpE 4096 and 4097.  As part of these classes, students work in teams to complete a significant, open-ended design project and are asked to make multiple presentations and reports on the process, including a summative reflection piece on their overall experience. Students are not required to submit any additional documentation, beyond completing these classes, to show they have satisfied this requirement.
