All research students (PhD and thesis-option MS students), whether on-campus or distance, should select their courses for each semester, only after consulting with their research advisor.
On-campus non-thesis MS students are advised by the graduate coordinator of the ECE graduate program (ECE Graduate Coordinator) for the course selection each semester. During the pre-registration period (typically the tenth week of each semester), the non-thesis MS students are asked to attend an advising session to select courses for the next semester with the graduate coordinator.
All non-research distance students (graduate certificate or non-thesis MS) are advised by the Distance Learning Coordinator. They will be contacted by their advisor prior to advising week with instructions and action items for remote advising. Prior to your advising session, you should generate a degree audit at https://mydegree.mst.edu. The audit will show you the courses you need to take before you can complete your program.
