Jian Liu is currently an Assistant Research Professor at the Kummer Institute Center for Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Missouri S&T. Before joining Missouri S&T; he was a full professor at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, and an associate professor and assistant professor at Nanjing University of Science and Technology. He has been a visiting scholar, Ph.D. student, and postdoctoral fellow at Penn State University, the University of Washington, Tsinghua University, Missouri S&T, and the University of Houston. He has received several prestigious awards, including Jiangsu Distinguished Professor, Shanghai Young Eastern Scholar, and the International Postdoctoral Exchange Fellowship Award. His research has been published in leading journals such as Applied Energy, European Journal of Operational Research, IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, Service Science, and Production and Operations Management. He has secured 17 research grants, including 12 as PI and 5 as Co-PI, with total funding exceeding 4.5 million CNY.
